Recycling Services Contract Opportunity in New Hanover County

Background
New Hanover County is seeking proposals for recycling services at county properties. The vendor is expected to provide recycling services to all county operated facilities and enrolled multi-family residences. The county reserves the right to accept or reject any proposals and make the award in the best interest of the county.

Work Details
The vendor shall provide recycling services, including 95-gallon carts and/or 4 or 8 yard dumpster options in various locations and quantities. Pickup will be on a weekly basis and hauled to the Materials Recovery Facility located at 3002 US HWY 421N in Wilmington, NC 28401. The contractor will provide the collection containers to the facilities, pay all tipping fees, and billing will be through Sonoco Recycling.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period will begin on the date of a fully executed contract through June 30, 2027. The contract may be renewed for two additional one-year periods with the consent of both parties, ending June 30, 2029.
