Re-Bid: East Durham Water, Sewer, and Stormwater Replacement Phase 1A

Background
The City of Durham Department of Water Management is issuing a re-bid for the East Durham Water, Sewer, and Stormwater Replacement Phase 1A project due to insufficient bids received during the initial bid period.
The project aims to enhance the infrastructure for water, sewer, and stormwater management in East Durham.

Work Details
The project involves the complete installation of various utilities including:
- Approximately 3,200 linear feet of 8-inch to 16-inch sanitary sewer replacement.
- Replacement and reconnection of existing sanitary sewer services.
- Installation of approximately 2,100 linear feet of 6-inch to 12-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) waterline, including replacement of existing domestic and fire services.
- Installation of approximately 260 linear feet of 36-inch to 42-inch stormwater structures.
- Connections to existing piping and valve assemblies.
- Traffic control measures during construction.
- Approximately 150 linear feet of 8-inch cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) installation.
- Miscellaneous surface restoration and all associated appurtenances as described in the specifications and drawings.
Additionally, there is a Bid Alternate consisting of the installation of approximately 230 linear feet of 8” sanitary sewer as specified in Sanitary Sewer Connection Details Number 2 and 3.

Period of Performance
The project is required to be substantially completed within 270 consecutive calendar days and fully completed within 300 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at various locations within East Durham, North Carolina.
