Re-Advertisement RFP - Automatic Slide Gate and Operator Installation

Background
The City of Fayetteville, through the Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST), is seeking proposals for the installation of an automatic slide gate and operator. This project aims to enhance security and access control within the transit operations, which serve the Fayetteville area with various transportation services.

The solicitation is part of a broader initiative to improve infrastructure and operational efficiency.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install an automatic slide gate system. The scope includes:

1. **Gate & Fence Components:**
a) Installation of an Industrial/Commercial Duty 1 HP Hysecurity or compatible slide gate operator with safety appurtenances (monitored reflective photo eyes and monitored safety edge). All components must comply with federal, state, and local regulations. A minimum one-year warranty is required.
b) Installation of a 25ft x 8ft dual track aluminum chain link gate connected to existing fencing with new 5x4 inch steel posts.
c) Installation of loop detection devices for the slide gate within asphalt loops in the parking lot.
d) Installation of a square gooseneck style metal post with a keypad.
e) Removal and replacement of all wiring from the breaker panel to the slide gate operator and keypad, ensuring compliance with electrical standards.

2. **Access Control & Configuration:**
a) Installation of a Door King or compatible automated access operator system including an AWID long-range reader, power supply, mounting bracket, and related components.
b) Disposal of all materials and restoration of the project site to its original condition or better.

Period of Performance
The contract duration will be determined based on the project completion timeline as specified in the proposal. The contractor must ensure timely performance without delays.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations within Fayetteville, North Carolina, specifically at sites operated by FAST.
