Background
The Bernalillo County Procurement & Business Services Department, on behalf of the Public Works Division Technical Services Department, is seeking sealed bids for construction services related to the Cortez Drive/Bridge Boulevard Improvements project. This project aims to enhance traffic flow and safety in the area through various construction activities. The contract is part of Bernalillo County's ongoing efforts to improve public infrastructure.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Removal of the Bridge Boulevard westbound slip lane.
- Revision of the existing southbound connect lane from a one-way to a two-way travel lane, including drainage and signage adjustments.
- Addition of a deceleration lane along westbound Tower Road for northbound access to the revised southbound connect lane.
- Revision of the Bridge Boulevard/Cortez Drive intersection to include a raised median aimed at reducing vehicular and large truck traffic along Cortez Drive.
- Installation of a dedicated left turn lane along Bridge Boulevard in front of Catholic Charities.
- Construction items include construction staking, surveying, traffic control, site clearing, excavation, subgrade preparation, asphalt concrete placement, sidewalks, curb and gutter installations, electrical work for lighting systems, and various pavement markings.

Period of Performance
The contract period is expected to commence upon award and will continue until all work is completed as specified in the contract documents.

Place of Performance
The construction will take place in Bernalillo County, specifically along Cortez Drive and Bridge Boulevard.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of New Mexico at the time of bid submission. They are required to submit a list of subcontractors and their registration numbers with the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions. Bidders must also provide bid security amounting to 5% of the total bid amount and comply with all applicable affirmative action/equal employment opportunity requirements.
