Procurement of Various Types of Furniture

Background
The Department of Administration (DOA) serves as the business manager for North Carolina State government and provides leadership to State government for the effective, efficient, economical, and equitable delivery of services to the public. The department also aids and services several advocacy programs that serve diverse segments of the State’s population that have traditionally been underserved.
The Division of Purchase & Contract (P&C) is the strategic force to provide the State’s entities with a catalog of Statewide Term Contracts (STC) that provide for an encompassing organized and efficient manner to pool resources to provide goods and services. The State of North Carolina (State) through the Department of Administration (DOA) Division of Purchase and Contract (P&C) is seeking qualified vendors to establish a Statewide Term Contract to furnish and deliver a comprehensive, multiple manufacturer product line of new Furniture on an “As Needed” basis, if and when ordered by State Departments, Agencies, and Higher Education Institutions during the contract period.

Work Details
The State is seeking qualified vendors to establish a Statewide Term Contract to furnish and deliver a comprehensive, multiple manufacturer product line of new Furniture on an “As Needed” basis. Vendor offerings must meet one or more of the following categories:
- Casegoods (Desks, Credenzas, Conference Tables)
- Classroom
- Bookcases
- Ergonomic Chairs
- Office Swivel & Side Chairs
- Computer, Mobile & Folding
- Upholstered Seating
- Commercial Dining
- Metal Cabinets
- Cosmetology
- Office Systems
- Open Plan
- Desks
- Sit-To-Stand Shelving
- Metal, Wood Library Dormitory Outdoor Furniture Residential Institutional Library Academic Molded Furniture.
In addition to these categories, accessories or optional items related to a product line may be included in a bid submitted for that category as long as it does not fall within another listed category.

Period of Performance
The Contract shall have a term of three (3) years beginning on the date of final Contract execution with the option to renew for two (2) additional two-year terms.
The estimated spend based on historical data is approximately $232 million for furniture purchases during FY 2018-2023 under the previous contract.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed on an 'As Needed' basis if and when ordered by State Departments, Agencies, and Higher Education Institutions during the contract period.
