Pressure Washing and Exterior Cleaning Services

Background
Charlotte Water, a department of the City of Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide comprehensive pressure washing and exterior cleaning services for various facilities and surfaces owned or maintained by Charlotte Water. The goal of this contract is to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of its properties.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, transportation, and other items necessary to perform pressure washing services as specified. Services include:

1. Pressure washing at various locations including all Wastewater Treatment Plants (McAlpine, Irwin, Sugar, Mallard, McDowell, Ashe Plantation, Stowe) and Water Treatment Facilities (Franklin, Vest, Dukes) on an as-needed basis.

2. Regular service schedules established in coordination with the City's representative.

3. Emergency or special-request services within 48 hours of notification.

4. Use of commercial-grade pressure washing equipment capable of producing between 3,000 PSI and 4,500 PSI.

5. Environmentally friendly cleaning solutions that are biodegradable and compliant with EPA guidelines.

6. Specific cleaning requirements for various surfaces including concrete (sidewalks), building exteriors (brick/stucco), masonry/stone surfaces, metal surfaces (removing corrosion), wooden surfaces (using reduced pressure), and dumpster areas/loading docks (sanitizing).

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract shall be for three (3) years with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year terms upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations including all Wastewater Treatment Plants and Water Treatment Facilities in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements
The contractor must possess all required licenses and permits necessary to perform pressure washing services in North Carolina. Additionally, they must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding environmental regulations and safety requirements.
