Prequalification of Subcontractors for GTCC Aviation Training Center Building 1 in Colfax, NC

Background
Blum Construction has been selected as the Construction Manager @ Risk by Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) for the Aviation Training Center – Building 1 project. The mission of GTCC is to provide quality education and training to support the aviation program on their Cameron Campus in Colfax, NC.

The goal of this contract is to pre-qualify construction trade contractors to submit bids for furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary for the construction of a new two-story education building.

Work Details
The project involves constructing a new ground-up two-story education building approximately 70,000 square feet in size. This building will include offices, labs, storage areas, and classrooms, and will connect to an existing energy plant.

The site is pad-ready but requires additional paving, grading, and utilities. Principal trade contractors are solicited for various bid packages with estimated budgets as follows:

Period of Performance
The target bid date for this project is June 2025. Prequalification forms must be submitted by April 17th 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Cameron Campus of Guilford Technical Community College located in Colfax, NC.
