Plumbing Installation and Repair Services for Educational Facilities

Background
The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is the largest school district in North Carolina and the 15th largest in the United States, serving approximately 160,000 students across 199 schools.

The district is seeking competitive bids from qualified vendors to provide plumbing installation and repair services at facilities owned or leased by WCPSS. This initiative aims to ensure that all plumbing systems within these educational facilities are maintained and operational, thereby supporting WCPSS's mission to provide a conducive learning environment.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing equipment including toilets, sinks, water piping, roof leaders, and hot water heaters.

Services must be provided on a 24/7 basis with emergency response required within 2 hours. Contractors must possess appropriate licenses as required by North Carolina law and have qualified staff capable of handling multiple service calls simultaneously. The contractor will also need to follow Lockout/Tagout procedures during work on plumbing systems and manage any necessary permitting and incidental supplies. Any viable parts removed during work must either be reinstalled or returned to WCPSS.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of one year, beginning July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations of Wake County Public School System facilities throughout Wake County, North Carolina.
