Plumbing Installation and Connection Services for Longwood Road Sewer Project (DWI Project No SRP-W-ARP-0297-CN3)

Background
Brunswick County is soliciting sealed bids for plumbing installation and connection services for the Longwood Road Sewer Project (DWI Project No. SRP-W-ARP-0297-CN3). The project aims to install new building sewer plumbing from residences to a County-installed grinder pump system, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Installing new building sewer plumbing from residences to the grinder pump system.
- Making physical connections to the pump.
- Disconnecting and properly abandoning existing plumbing from residences to septic tanks.
- Obtaining all required permits and securing approvals from the County’s permitting departments.
The work must be coordinated with homeowners and the County throughout the project. An estimated 200 connections are anticipated, although not all homes may qualify due to various factors such as electrical capacity issues or unique site conditions.

The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed in accordance with the schedule set forth in the bidding documents. Bids are due by April 22, 2026.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must acknowledge receipt of Addendum No. 1 as part of their bid submission. There is no Bid Bond required; however, a Performance Bond and Payment Bond equal to 100% of the contract price will be required after Notice of Award. All costs associated with obtaining these bonds will be borne by the selected contractor. Additionally, contractors must coordinate with property owners during project execution.
