Parkland High School Gym Lighting Upgrade Project

Background
The Parkland High School Gym Lighting Upgrade Project is initiated by the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Division of Maintenance. The primary goal of this project is to enhance the lighting within the gymnasium by replacing existing fixtures with modern LED technology, specifically RGBW and GOBO fixtures. This upgrade aims to improve the overall functionality and aesthetic appeal of the gymnasium, ensuring a better environment for students and staff.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Replace existing linear light fixtures in Parkland High Gymnasium and dispose of them properly.

2. Install new RGBW fixtures (4 units) with specifications including:
- Type: LED PAR with motorized zoom
- LED Source: 19 x 15W RGBW
- Zoom Range: 8deg - 50deg
- Control Protocol: DMX512 (3-pin or 5-pin)
- Power Consumption: ~300W per unit
- Mounting: Truss-mounted or floor-supported.

3. Install one GOBO fixture with specifications including:
- Type: High-output LED Moving Head Profile
- Light Output: 20,000 lumens
- LED Engine: 580W White LED
- Zoom Range: 7deg - 55deg
- Control Protocols include DMX512, Art-Net, sACN, EDM.

4. Install 48 linear fixtures (4' size) rated at 24000lm, with a color temperature of 5000K and a frosted acrylic lens. These fixtures must be IK-10 rated, DLC listed, and capable of wireless or Bluetooth control.

The contractor must ensure all installations are compliant with safety standards and provide necessary permits.

Period of Performance
The installation is expected to be completed within a timeframe of 60 days from the notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Parkland High School located at 1600 Brewer Road, Winston-Salem, NC.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with local regulations and possess valid licenses as required by North Carolina law. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to document participation in Minority/Women Business Enterprises (MWBE) programs with a goal of at least 10% participation. All contractors must provide proof of general liability insurance and worker's compensation insurance.
