Background
The State of North Carolina, through the Office of the State Controller (NCOSC), is seeking to renew software maintenance support services for Oracle Linux licenses.
This software is critical for the Agency’s SAP Human Resources/Payroll System hosted on AWS.
Oracle Linux is the only operating system supported for this enterprise-critical system, necessitating ongoing support from Oracle.
Work Details
The contract involves providing Oracle Linux Premier Support Services for forty-nine (49) licenses.
The services include:
1. Basic Services: Normal and usual software support and maintenance.
2. Error Correction: Reasonable efforts to correct or provide solutions for reported problems.
3. Notification of Errors: Informing the State of any material errors or defects.
4. Implementation of Updates: Providing new releases and bug fixes at no additional charge.
5. Telephone Assistance: Access to technical support during normal business hours with a response time within four (4) hours.
6. Custom Software: Any custom programming requested by the State will become the property of the State.
7. Security: Compliance with standard security procedures during onsite support.
8. Online Services: Maintenance of confidentiality and prevention of malware in online services provided.
Period of Performance
The contract term is one (1) year, effective from August 8, 2025, to August 7, 2026, with options to extend for two additional one-year periods.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed remotely as part of the software support agreement; however, any onsite services will be subject to standard security procedures at the agency's facilities.
Bidder Requirements
Vendors must comply with E-Verify requirements and must be registered in NC eProcurement prior to contract award.
The Vendor must also ensure that all subcontractors comply with these requirements.
