Middle Creek Stream Stabilization Construction Project

Background
The Town of Holly Springs, North Carolina, is issuing a contract for the Middle Creek Stream Stabilization Project. The project aims to restore a section of Middle Creek that is currently facing significant erosion issues, threatening infrastructure and residential properties. The goal is to stabilize the stream by constructing approximately 265 linear feet of restored stream, reconnecting the floodplain, rebuilding the bank, and adding in-stream structures.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1) Restoration of approximately 265 linear feet of stream;
2) Reconnection of the floodplain;
3) Reconstruction of the bank;
4) Installation of in-stream structures to mitigate erosion.

The work must comply with all specifications outlined in the project manual and adhere to local environmental regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and must be completed within 120 days for substantial completion, followed by an additional 30 days for final completion.

The project will take place along Middle Creek in Holly Springs, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed contractors in North Carolina. They are required to submit a bid bond or certified check amounting to at least five percent (5%) of their total bid. Additionally, bidders must document minority business participation as per Section 00905 of the contract documents.
