Description

SUPPLEMENTAL CURRICULUM RESOURCES FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES
Background
The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is the largest school district in North Carolina and the 15th largest in the United States, serving approximately 161,000 students across 203 schools. The Special Education Department is seeking to enhance mathematical fluency for students with disabilities through supplemental curriculum resources tailored to their specific needs as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Work Details
The contract involves providing supplemental curriculum resources specifically designed for Cross-Categorical Kindergarten (CCK), Elementary Behavior Support (EBS), and Autism Program (AU) Special Education Math Teachers. The resources must include lesson plans and materials that promote mathematical fluency during specially designed math instruction sessions. Key requirements include:
- Alignment with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study (SCOS) and Math Learning Progressions.
- Resources covering Basic Addition/Subtraction Facts, Multi-Digit Addition/Subtraction, Basic Multiplication/Division Facts, and Multi-Digit Multiplication/Division.
- Inclusion of number talks, practice on using derived facts, professional development for teachers, opportunities for mathematical discourse, use of manipulatives for conceptual understanding, explicit instruction with easy-to-follow text, and support for teachers' conceptual understanding of key mathematics concepts.
- Materials should be accessible for students with limited hearing, vision, mobility, and cognitive impairments.
- A minimum of 82 kits for Basic Addition/Subtraction Facts, 48 kits for Multi-Digit Addition/Subtraction, and 28 kits each for Basic and Multi-Digit Multiplication/Division are required.

Period of Performance
The desired start date for utilizing the resources is on or around September 1, 2026. Pricing for the resources must remain firm through June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
All products will be delivered to Wake County Public School System Central Receiving located at 1551 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, NC 27610.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all applicable laws and regulations including E-Verify compliance. They must not be debarred from doing business with the State of North Carolina or Federal Government. Vendors are required to provide proof of insurance coverage as outlined in Exhibit B of the solicitation document.
