Lighting Equipment Upgrades and Replacement for Holly Springs High School Auditorium and Theater

Background
The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is the largest school district in North Carolina and the 15th largest in the United States, serving approximately 162,000 students across 203 schools.
The Arts Education Department is seeking to upgrade the lighting equipment in the Auditorium at Holly Springs High School to enhance performance capabilities and meet modern standards.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the replacement of lighting equipment in the Auditorium, Studio Theater, and related support spaces.
The contractor will be responsible for performance lighting power, dimming, and control systems.
Key tasks include:
1. Delivery, storage, and handling of all equipment until project completion.
2. Installation of a complete and working system that meets all specifications.
3. Submission of shop drawings and submittals for approval prior to commencing work.
4. Commissioning of the system according to manufacturer requirements.
5. Creation of a punch list upon substantial completion to identify any outstanding tasks or issues.
6. Submission of record drawings and as-built drawings electronically upon project completion.

Period of Performance
The contract period is expected to commence upon award and continue until project completion, with proposals due by May 13, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Holly Springs High School located at 5329 Cass Holt Road, Holly Springs, NC 27540.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed to do business in North Carolina and provide proof of insurance as specified in the solicitation.
Vendors must demonstrate experience with similar projects and provide references.
Bidders listed on either the State or Federal debarred vendor registries will be disqualified.
