Description

The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to obtain pricing for and select a qualified Vendor to provide Lawn and Ground Maintenance services for the NC Department of Transportation, Division of Highways, Piedmont Triad Regional Transportation Management Center (TRTMC) at 201 S Chimney Rock Rd, Greensboro, NC 27409. The contract shall consist of an all-inclusive lawn and ground maintenance services including all reasonable and necessary labor, supervision, materials, equipment and supplies to keep the subject State lawn and grounds properly maintained. The purpose of this solicitation is to award an Agency Specific Term Contract (ASTC)
Background
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking to award a contract for Lawn and Ground Maintenance services for the Piedmont Triad Regional Transportation Management Center (TRTMC) located at 201 S Chimney Rock Rd, Greensboro, NC 27409.

The goal of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to select a qualified vendor who can provide comprehensive maintenance services to ensure the state’s lawn and grounds are properly maintained. This contract will be an Agency Specific Term Contract (ASTC).

Work Details
The contract includes all-inclusive lawn and ground maintenance services which encompass:
- All necessary labor, supervision, materials, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance.
- Regular mowing of lawns, trimming of shrubs and hedges, mulching of plant beds, and removal of debris.
- Power washing of surfaces on an annual basis.
- Compliance with safety regulations regarding hazardous substances and spills.
- Use of commercial-grade equipment such as riding mowers with adjustable deflector shields, push or self-propelled mowers, leaf blowers, and edgers.
- Provision of safety equipment including fire extinguishers and first aid kits at work sites.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be three (3) years starting from the first day of the month following the final execution date of the contract. The State reserves the right to extend the contract beyond this initial term with the vendor's concurrence.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Piedmont Triad Regional Transportation Management Center located at 201 S Chimney Rock Rd, Greensboro, NC 27409.
