Juice Concentrate Supply for Frozen Slushy - Wake County High Schools

Background
The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS), the largest school district in North Carolina and the 15th largest in the nation, is seeking to procure 100% Juice Concentrate for its Child Nutrition Services.

This initiative aims to provide frozen slushy products at four designated high schools, with potential expansion to all 31 high schools within the district. WCPSS serves over 160,000 students and employs more than 20,000 staff members.

Work Details
The contract involves supplying 100% Juice Concentrate that meets the following specifications:
- The first ingredient must be 100% juice concentrate.
- The product must be Smart Snack approved under the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act.
- It should be stored under dry conditions, not requiring refrigeration or freezing.
- The concentrate is to be mixed with water to create a juice or frozen product for students.
- A variety of flavors must be available.

Additionally, successful bidders will provide beverage dispensers for each participating school, train staff on their use and maintenance, and service the equipment as necessary.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence in September 2024 and run through July 31, 2025, with an option to renew for three additional one-year terms.

The products will be delivered to Wake County Public Schools Central Receiving located at 1551 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, NC 27610.
