Jonestown Road Sidewalk Design and Utility Planning Services

Background
The City of Winston-Salem Department of Transportation (DOT) is issuing a Request for Letters of Interest (RFLOI) for the Jonestown Road Sidewalk project. This project aims to enhance civil and roadway design services. It will facilitate the construction of a continuous 6-foot wide sidewalk on both sides of a 0.5-mile section of Jonestown Road, connecting existing sidewalk infrastructure and improving pedestrian access.

Work Details
The contract requires the following services:

- Fully design the Jonestown Road sidewalk project.
- Develop preliminary designs.
- Assist with tasks related to preliminary engineering and right-of-way acquisition phases.
- Provide design and construction engineering for sidewalks and pedestrian facilities.
- Conduct public outreach and involvement.
- Coordinate with the City of Winston-Salem and utility providers.
- Manage the project.

Deliverables must include utility-make-ready plans and traffic control plans to support construction.

Period of Performance
The proposed contract time is 9 months from the anticipated notice to proceed in early November 2024.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, specifically along Jonestown Road between Salem Parkway (US 421 NB Ramp) and Country Club Road.
