Background
The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is the largest school district in North Carolina and the 15th largest in the United States, serving approximately 160,000 students across 199 schools.

The agency is seeking to secure a contract for janitorial services at facilities owned, leased, or possessed by WCPSS. The goal of this contract is to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across all designated sites.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive janitorial services at WCPSS facilities, which include cleaning classrooms, restrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and other common areas.

Specific tasks may include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, restroom sanitation, and replenishing supplies such as soap and paper towels. The contractor must ensure that all cleaning products used are compliant with safety regulations and environmentally friendly where possible. Additional services may be required based on specific requests from WCPSS.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2025, and will run through June 30, 2026. There is an option for WCPSS to extend the contract for up to two additional years in one-year increments based on performance and funding availability.
