Janitorial Services for NC Agriculture Science Center

Background
The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (NCDA&CS) is seeking qualified vendors to provide janitorial cleaning and disinfecting services for the Steve Troxler Agricultural Sciences Center located at 4400 Reedy Creek Road, Raleigh, NC.

The center is a 225,000 square foot facility housing approximately 250 employees across five divisions that conduct various tests related to food safety and agricultural standards. The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for the staff and operations within the facility.

Work Details
The contract requires an all-inclusive janitorial service that includes labor, supervision, materials, and equipment necessary for the work. Specific tasks include:
- Emptying trash
- Replacing can liners
- Dusting
- Sweeping
- Mopping
- Vacuuming
- Cleaning restrooms
- Washing and drying entrance and door glass
- Replenishing restroom supplies.

Due to specific medical conditions of employees, certain brand-specific cleaning products are required while others are prohibited. The vendor will not handle any biohazardous materials or chemicals.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be one year starting from July 1, 2025. There is an option for the State to renew the contract for up to two additional one-year terms at its discretion.

The services will be performed at the Steve Troxler Agricultural Sciences Center located at 4400 Reedy Creek Road, Raleigh, NC 27607.
