Background
The State of North Carolina, through the Office of Procurement, Contracts and Grants, is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to seek a qualified vendor to provide janitorial services for the Division of Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities.
The services will be performed at their office located at 919 Phillips Avenue, Suite 105, High Point, NC 27262.
The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for the employees and visitors of the agency.
Work Details
The vendor will provide comprehensive janitorial services including but not limited to:
1. Cleaning offices, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas after business hours (Monday through Friday after 5:00 PM).
2. Maintaining cleanliness in an area of approximately 2,158 square feet which includes 8 offices, 1 conference room, and 4 bathrooms.
3. Supplying all necessary cleaning equipment and materials including strong/heavy-duty trash liners, anti-bacterial hand soap (not generic), toilet paper, paper towels (roll and fold type), and EPA-approved cleaning supplies effective against COVID-19.
4. Performing general cleaning duties on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, bi-annual, and annual basis as specified in the schedule of performance.
5. Ensuring that all personnel wear face masks and gloves while in the building and conduct themselves in a professional manner.
Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be one year starting from June 01, 2026 or the date of final contract execution, whichever is later.
The State has the option to renew the contract for up to two additional one-year terms.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Division of Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities office located at 919 Phillips Avenue, Suite 105, High Point, NC 27262.
Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be registered with the North Carolina Secretary of State prior to entering into a contract with the State.
They must also comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws regarding employment practices including conducting background checks on employees performing services under this contract.
Vendors are encouraged to support Historically Underutilized Businesses by meeting or exceeding a goal of 10% utilization of diverse firms as subcontractors.
