Orange County Asset Management is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the Little River Park project located at 301 Little River Park Way, Rougemont, NC. The goal of this contract is to enhance the park facilities through various construction activities aimed at improving accessibility and safety for park users.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: paving, incidental milling, removing asphalt/tree roots, pouring ADA-compliant concrete parking spaces, removing and replacing wooden wheel bump stops, installing truncated domes, installing 15-inch drainage pipe, laying gravel, installing speed tables, and parking lot re-striping.
Specific quantities include:
- 935 tons of asphalt concrete surface course (Type S9.5B)
- 40 square yards of incidental milling
- 155 square yards of asphalt removal/tree root work
- 16 cubic yards of ADA concrete parking pavement
- 40 wooden wheel bump stops (4x6)
- 2 truncated domes
- 23 linear feet of drainage pipe installation
- 576 square yards of #67 stone gravel
- Various pavement markings including handicap symbols and white lines.
Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and must be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the contract documents. The bid opening is scheduled for May 19th, 2026.
