IT Infrastructure and Networking Services Proposal for PBS North Carolina

Background
PBS North Carolina is the only statewide public media network in North Carolina, reaching 99% of households with four digital channels that operate 24 hours a day.
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit offers from external partners to provide IT infrastructure support and networking services for PBS North Carolina’s Statewide Broadcast Network.
The goal is to enhance the network's operational capabilities and ensure robust IT support.

Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT infrastructure support and networking services, including:
- Management of statewide WAN/LAN networks at over 15 facilities.
- Network security management and design tailored for a broadcast environment.
- Monthly server monitoring and 24x7 monitoring and response for PBS NC’s Broadcast Network.
- Systems backups for critical infrastructure and administration of broadcast IP networking.
- Firewall/network/security support.
- On-call helpdesk support with defined escalation processes based on severity levels, including immediate response for critical issues, urgent issues addressed within two hours, high priority issues within four hours, and routine issues within 24 hours.
- Onsite support during business hours with additional coverage as needed.
- Documentation of new network configurations, updates, and changes.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an effective term of ten (10) years from the date of award, with options for four (4) additional years through three (3) year renewals at the State's discretion.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed across various locations in North Carolina, specifically at over 15 PBS North Carolina facilities.
