Background
Union County, North Carolina, with an estimated population of 263,386, is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Insurance Broker Services through its Risk Management Division. The County aims to ensure comprehensive coverage for various insurance needs while evaluating the most qualified Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance broker firm.

Work Details
The selected broker will provide brokerage services for the following types of insurance:
- Property
- General Liability
- Automobile
- Law Enforcement
- Employee Benefits Liability
- Employment Practice Liability
- Umbrella
- Crime
- Professional Liability
- Network Security & Privacy (Cyber)
- Excess Workers’ Compensation
- Pollution coverage.

The broker must demonstrate that all proposed insurance carriers have a minimum of five years of experience providing coverage to public entities. Additionally, the broker may assist in evaluating and marketing appropriate coverage for Union County’s portion of the Catawba River Water Treatment Plant (CRWTP). They may also evaluate the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of consolidating existing insurance policies under a single brokerage agreement.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of two years with three one-year renewal options at the County’s discretion, pending annual budget approval.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed in Union County, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must comply with federal Equal Employment Opportunity policies and are encouraged to engage in good faith outreach to Minority Businesses (HUB Certified) and Small Businesses. The successful firm must maintain valid business licenses and meet all local, state, and federal codes. Additionally, they must provide proof of required insurances including Workers’ Compensation and General Liability.
