In-home Environmental Intervention

Work Requested:
The contract work involves an in-home environmental intervention with two primary components:

• Elimination of Cockroaches: The NC State team will carry out the removal of cockroaches from homes, following an approved protocol.
• Professional Cleaning: Professional cleaning companies will be contracted to perform thorough cleaning of homes. This cleaning is aimed at removing cockroach allergens and microbial contaminants to enhance indoor environmental quality.

Who is Requesting:
This solicitation is issued by the NC State team.

Background:
Based on the checklist (2 CFR 200.331, Subrecipient-Procurecklist-B), it has been determined that contractor services are more appropriate for this project than subrecipient services. Therefore, professional cleaning companies will be contracted to conduct the in-home cleaning. All contracted companies must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) as required by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development PGI 2019-01 (Exhibit A).

Contract Requirements:

• Professional cleaning companies must be registered in SAM.
• All work must comply with the approved protocol and applicable federal requirements.
