Hybrid Intercom System Installation for Jamesville Elementary School

Background
Martin County Schools is seeking to enhance communication and safety within its educational facilities by replacing the existing intercom systems with a modern Hybrid Intercom System. The goal of this contract is to install a state-of-the-art intercom solution that integrates with the existing infrastructure, ensuring effective communication across classrooms and common areas in Jamesville Elementary School, Williamston Primary School, and Rodgers Elementary School.

Work Details
The contractor will provide and install a Hybrid Intercom System consisting of IP speakers for all classroom/instructional spaces, analog speakers for common areas, hallways, and exterior horns connected to an IP-based amplifier. The system will allow two-way communication from the main office to individual classrooms and integrate with the existing IP phone system for room communication and all-call paging. Specific components include:

- Installation of digital call switches in all classroom/instructional spaces.
- Two administrative phones in the main office (one at the reception desk and one in the principal’s office).
- Approved products include Bogen Communications Nyquist E7000 Series IP-Based System and various models of speakers such as NQ-S1810CT-T1 (VoIP Ceiling Speaker), NQ-S1810WT-G3 (Wall Baffle), CSD2X2U-V2 (Drop-In Ceiling Speakers), among others.
- The contractor must ensure compliance with installation standards, including category 6 cabling, labeling, testing, and adherence to local codes.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed within a specified timeframe that aligns with school operational schedules. Installation may occur during normal business hours or after school hours as necessary.

Place of Performance
The installation will take place at three locations: Jamesville Elementary School located at 1220 Hardison Dr, Jamesville, NC 27846; Williamston Primary School at 400 West Blvd, Williamston, NC 27892; and Rodgers Elementary School at 1220 Hardison Dr, Jamesville, NC 27846.
