HVAC Water Treatment Maintenance and Services for Raleigh Convention Center

Background
The City of Raleigh, the Capital City of North Carolina, remains one of the fastest growing areas in the country. A great economy, top educational institutions, and exceptional health care facilities are some of the characteristics that attract people to the triangle area. The mild climate, diverse work force and proximity to Research Triangle Park combine to make Raleigh a great place to live.

The Raleigh Convention and Performing Arts Complex (RCPAC) is seeking a premier water treatment service provider providing monthly services to verify chemistry and adjust to the proper treatment levels. The purpose of the water treatments services is to eliminate unscheduled downtime, extend the service life of the equipment, and reduce operating costs.

Work Details
The awarded Contractor shall provide services as set forth in this RFP and more particularly described in Section 4. The services include monthly water treatment services at the Raleigh Convention Center, administering the water treatment program to ensure peak operational efficiency, providing on-call repair services at predetermined rates, and verifying chemistry and adjusting to proper treatment levels.

The specific products and tasks include:
- Providing chemicals, equipment, and services to properly protect HVAC water systems from corrosion, deposition, and microbiological activity
- Testing chillers for pH, TDS/Conductivity, total hardness, total alkalinity, chlorides, iron, copper, PTSA, total/free chlorine, ATP residuals
- Servicing chillers on a monthly basis
- Providing detailed service reports
- Using specific water treatment control equipment
- Responding to service calls within specified timeframes
- Ensuring safety measures are followed.

Period of Performance
The term of the awarded contract is expected to not exceed five (5) years without the possibility of extension. The Contract shall have an initial term of three (3) years with an option for up to two (2) additional one-year terms. The City reserves the right to extend a contract term for a period of up to 180 days in 90-day-or-less increments.

Place of Performance
The geographic location(s) where the contract will be performed is primarily at the Raleigh Convention Center located at 500 S Salisbury St. Raleigh, NC 27601.
