HVAC Renovations at Tucker House

Background
The City of Raleigh, North Carolina, through its Engineering Services Department, Facilities & Operations, is issuing a solicitation for HVAC renovations at Tucker House. The project aims to upgrade the heating and cooling systems to improve efficiency and performance.

Work Details
The project consists of the following major items:

1. Remove existing 399 MBH boiler and associated hot water piping in the basement.
2. Abandon existing hot water radiators in place.
3. Provide four (4) new split system gas furnace/heat pumps totaling 12.5 tons.
4. Provide one (1) new 1.5-ton ductless split system.
5. Provide post-construction test and balance.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be performed following the bid award, with specific timelines to be outlined in the bid form.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Tucker House, located in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must show evidence of being licensed to perform the work as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87. Additionally, bidders must be registered to do work with the City of Raleigh and are encouraged to participate in the MWBE program, aiming for at least fifteen percent (15%) participation from certified Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprises on contracts over $300,000.
