Background
NC Central University (NCCU) is seeking commissioning services for multiple HVAC and BAS upgrade projects on its campus. The goal of this contract is to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of HVAC systems across five distinct projects, which are critical to the university's infrastructure.
Work Details
The contractor will provide commissioning services for the following five HVAC and BAS upgrade projects:
1. School of Education HVAC and BAS ($14M, currently in Schematic Design/Design Development)
2. Turner Law HVAC and BAS ($10M, currently in Construction Documents)
3. Walker Complex HVAC and BAS ($14M, currently in Schematic Design/Design Development)
4. Mary Townes & BRITE HVAC and BAS - Phase 1 ($15M, currently moving into Schematic Design/Design Development)
5. Mary Townes & BRITE HVAC and BAS - Phase II ($8M, currently in Programming).
The scope includes a review of design packages at the Design Development and Construction Document stages, as well as reviewing construction administration submittals for technical strength and compliance with Campus Design Guidelines.
Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to align with the timelines of the individual project phases, which are ongoing through various stages until approximately mid-2026.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed on the campus of NC Central University located in Durham, North Carolina.
Bidder Requirements
Proposers must be licensed in the State of North Carolina to offer architectural or engineering services. Submissions should include Letters of Interest and SF-330 Parts I and II without external links.
