GTCC Aviation Training Center - Building 1 Construction Proposals Required

Background
Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) is issuing a solicitation for the construction of a new two-story education building for its Aviation Program. The project aims to enhance educational facilities by providing approximately 70,000 square feet of space for offices, labs, storage, and classrooms.

Blum Construction has been appointed as the Construction Manager @ Risk for this project.

Work Details
The project involves the construction of a ground-up two-story education building that will include: offices, laboratories, storage areas, and classrooms. The site is pad-ready but will require additional work including paving, grading, and utility installations.

Additional packages may be added or deleted by the Owner and Construction Manager.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon selection of the contractor and will continue until the completion of the building project. The bid opening is scheduled for June 18th 2025.

Place of Performance
The construction will take place at the Cameron Campus in Colfax, NC.

Bidder Requirements
Bids are only accepted from prequalified bidders. There is a 15% MWBE participation goal established for this project to encourage minority and historically underutilized business participation.
