The City of Greensboro is soliciting proposals for janitorial services for the Guilford Metro 911 Emergency Operations Center located at 1903 Midway Street, Greensboro, NC. Work Details
The contractor will provide janitorial services for an approximately 28,700 square foot facility, which includes various areas such as restrooms, kitchen/break area, conference/meeting rooms, corridors, offices, communication center, radio room, IT areas, gym, and electronics processing.
Services include daily cleaning tasks such as transporting trash to designated areas, emptying wastebaskets (contractor supplies liners), dusting surfaces and furniture, vacuuming carpets, mopping hard floors, and sanitizing drinking fountains. Weekly tasks include cleaning restrooms and removing dust from ceiling areas. Monthly tasks involve high dusting and cleaning upholstered furniture. Semi-annual tasks include detail cleaning of the Emergency Communications Center and floor refinishing.
The contractor must provide all necessary cleaning materials and equipment while adhering to specific requirements regarding cleaning products (EPA-registered disinfectants or 10% Clorox solution). Additionally, background checks for employees assigned to the facility are mandatory.
Period of Performance
The contract will span three years starting from August 1, 2026, through July 31, 2029.
