FY26 Road Resurfacing Project in Knightdale, NC: Repairs, Milling, Patching, and Overlay

Background
The Town of Knightdale, North Carolina, is issuing this Invitation for Bids for the FY26 Road Resurfacing Project. The project aims to repair, mill, patch, and overlay specified road sections within the town to enhance road safety and infrastructure.

The Public Works Department is responsible for overseeing this project.

Work Details
The contract includes the following services: repairs, milling, patching, and overlay of specified road sections in Knightdale. Specific tasks include:

1) Mobilization;
2) 2” Mill and Replace/Repair for various road segments including:
- Tilia Court (14,865 SF)
- Flowers Street/Kelley Meadows (63,463 SF)
- Trail Stream Way/Piney Acres (72,116 SF)
- Jewel Haven Drive (34,562 SF);
3) Adjusting manholes:
- 4 on Tilia Court;
- 17 on Flowers Street/Kelley Meadows;
- 13 on Trail Stream Way/Piney Acres;
- 13 on Jewel Haven Drive;
4) Adjusting water valves:
- 3 on Tilia Court;
- 33 on Flowers Street/Kelley Meadows;
- 11 on Trail Stream Way/Piney Acres;
- 14 on Jewel Haven Drive;
5) Thermoplastic pavement markings at ADA crosswalks as specified.

Period of Performance
The contractor must commence work within 30 business days from the Notice to Proceed and complete all work within 45 calendar days thereafter.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in various locations throughout Knightdale, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be pre-qualified by the North Carolina Department of Transportation. All contractors must possess the necessary licenses as required under state laws governing their respective trades.

A bid bond of at least five percent (5%) of the proposal amount is required.
