Furnishing and Installation of S2 Access Control Barrier Arm Gates

Background
Craven Community College, located in North Carolina, is seeking to enhance security at its New Bern campus by installing S2 Access Control Barrier Arm Gates. The goal of this contract is to procure the necessary equipment and services for the installation of these gates to improve access control at the campus entrance.

Work Details
The contractor will furnish and install two (2) S2 Access Control Barrier Arm Gates with 20-foot lighted arms. Additionally, the contractor will provide and install two (2) 42-inch pedestals for card readers, an access controller with an enclosure connected to the barrier arm gates, and card readers on each pedestal.

The installation will include running conduit underground as necessary to connect card readers and access control panels to the gates and pedestals. The college will provide S2 licenses, and the contractor is responsible for programming and testing with College IT staff. Power for the gates will be installed by the College, and network configurations must integrate with existing S2 systems managed by College IT staff.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed within a specified timeframe following receipt of a purchase order.

Place of Performance
The installation will take place at Craven Community College, New Bern Campus, located at 800 College Ct., New Bern, NC 28562.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be registered as North Carolina vendors in good standing. They are required to complete various attachments including HUB Supplemental Vendor Information, Customer Reference Form, Location of Workers Utilized by Vendor, Certification of Financial Condition, and Vendor Request for EO50 Price-Matching. Vendors must also comply with all applicable state laws regarding fair employment practices.
