Furnishing and Delivery of Boiler Equipment for Wake County Public Schools

Background
The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is the largest school district in North Carolina and the 15th largest in the United States, serving approximately 161,000 students across 203 schools.

The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to obtain pricing for and select qualified vendor(s) to furnish and deliver Boiler Equipment on an 'as needed' basis during the contract period. The intent of this solicitation is to award an Agency Specific Term Contract.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing and delivering Boiler Equipment, specifically the Lochinvar Crest FBN2001 (2,000,000 BTUH condensing boiler), along with an Acid Neutralization Kit and startup of equipment.

The vendor must provide a two-hour response time from the Maintenance & Operations Office located in Raleigh, NC, and offer a minimum of a ten-year warranty on the boiler and a one-year warranty on parts. Each bid must include complete descriptive literature and specification sheets necessary for thorough evaluation. The estimated quantities are based on WCPSS's expected equipment needs; however, WCPSS is not obligated to purchase these amounts. Delivery must be made Free-On-Board (FOB) Destination to WCPSS's Maintenance and Operations Building within thirty (30) calendar days after receipt of purchase order.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a term of one year, beginning September 1, 2025, through August 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
Delivery will take place at Wake County Public School System Maintenance and Operations, Building F, located at 1551 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, NC 27610.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be authorized by the manufacturer to distribute or resell the products offered in this IFB. A signed statement from the manufacturer confirming authorization must be included with the bid response.

Vendors are also required to conduct sexual offender registry checks on all employees who will engage in services or delivery of goods to school system property.
