Background
North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, located in Greensboro, NC, is a prominent land-grant institution founded in 1891. The university aims to engage high-achieving scholars in transformative teaching and learning, civic outreach, interdisciplinary research, and innovative solutions to global challenges.

The institution is seeking proposals from qualified entertainment promotion and production companies for an Entertainment Services Agreement to plan, promote, produce, and execute large-scale entertainment events during its Homecoming celebrations, which typically occur in late October or early November.

Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for the planning, promotion, production, and execution of large-scale entertainment events including gospel and hip hop concerts and pep rally performances. Responsibilities include securing talent, managing production logistics, marketing the events, handling financial administration, and conducting post-event reconciliation with the university.

Vendors must demonstrate a minimum of ten years of experience in promoting and producing large-scale entertainment events with at least 12,000 attendees. They must provide examples of comparable events including attendance figures and artist line-ups. Additionally, vendors must carry Commercial General Liability Insurance with limits of not less than $4 million per occurrence.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of three years starting from the effective date or March 1, 2026, whichever is later. The state has the option to renew the contract for up to two additional one-year terms.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed primarily at North Carolina A&T State University located at 1601 E. Market Street, Greensboro, NC.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be registered with the North Carolina Secretary of State prior to entering into a contract with the state. They are required to submit financial documentation including tax returns for the last two fiscal years and proof of access to capital or a line of credit.

Vendors must also comply with HUB participation goals by utilizing small minority-owned businesses as subcontractors.
