Elevator Maintenance and Services (RFP #26-35-IS)

Background
Cumberland County is seeking proposals for elevator preventative maintenance and Department of Labor (DOL) required testing services. The county operates 12 buildings with a total of 29 elevators and aims to engage qualified vendors capable of meeting the demands of this service, including timely response times.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, and transportation to perform monthly preventative maintenance and assist with NC DOL testing on all county elevators located at various facilities. The specific locations and elevator counts are as follows:

- Agri-Expo: 1 Elevator
- Building Maintenance Facility: 1 Elevator
- Department of Social Services: 4 Elevators
- Detention Center: 4 Elevators
- Headquarters Library: 1 Elevator
- Public Health: 3 Elevators
- Law Enforcement Center: 4 Elevators
- Bradford Building: 2 Elevators
- New Courthouse: 6 Elevators
- Historic Courthouse: 1 Elevator
- Roxie Building: 1 Elevator
- Fayetteville Visitors Bureau: 1 Elevator.

The contractor must also maintain logs of services performed and ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to continue for a duration specified in the proposal submission, with an emphasis on ongoing monthly maintenance.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must demonstrate experience with similar projects in public or private sectors. They are required to provide at least three references for comparable services. Additionally, vendors must comply with insurance requirements including statutory limits on Worker’s Compensation, $1 million on Automobile insurance, and $1 million on General Liability insurance.
