Elevator Maintenance and Repair Services in Durham, NC

Background
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking to obtain pricing and select a qualified vendor for Elevator Maintenance and Repair Services at the Division 5 Highway Building located in Durham, NC.
The contract aims to ensure compliance with safety tests required by ANSI-A17.1 and the State of North Carolina, with the intent to award an Agency Specific Term Contract.

Work Details
The vendor will provide Full-Service Elevator Maintenance and Repair, which includes:
- Monthly examinations on all safety devices, governors, and equalization of hoisting ropes.
- Performance of all safety tests required by ANSI-A17.1 and NCAC 15.0307 in the presence of NCDOT personnel.
- Replacement of wire ropes as necessary to maintain safety standards.
- Monitoring the integrity of drive belts for compliance with ANSI-A17.1 Code.
- Examination, lubrication, adjustment, and/or replacement of equipment including interlocks, car and hatch door operators, door hangers, door closers, signal systems, emergency power packs, and emergency power lower devices.
- Coverage of all required monthly and annual testing per Department of Labor guidelines.
Exclusions include underground piping, smoke sensors not part of elevator controls, and refinishing or repairing car enclosures.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is three (3) years starting from August 15, 2025 or the following business day after the effective date.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Division 5 Highway Building located at 815 Stadium Drive, Durham, NC 27704.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be registered in good standing as a North Carolina vendor through the Electronic Vendor Portal (eVP).
They must complete various attachments including HUB Supplemental Vendor Information to demonstrate compliance with minority business participation goals.
