Electrical Repair and Testing Services for Large Buildings in Downtown Government Complex, Raleigh, NC

Background
The Department of Administration is issuing a contract for Electrical Repair and Testing Services for large buildings in the Downtown Government Complex in Raleigh, NC.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and reliability of electrical systems within these facilities, which are critical to the operations of state government.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Create a bid package for testing circuit breakers in large buildings within the Downtown Government Complex. This includes providing new short circuit calculations for labeling switchboards per NEC requirements and overseeing the testing process. Testing is anticipated to be scheduled on Saturdays, with Sundays reserved for additional repairs if necessary, to minimize disruption to building operations. Circuit breakers identified as needing replacement during testing must also be replaced.

2. The following buildings are included in the scope of work: Archdale, Museum of Natural Sciences, Nature Research Center, DEQ Office, New Education, New Revenue, Archives & History, Agriculture and Ag Annex, and potentially other DOA buildings as funding allows.

3. Replace the main switchboard in the Dobbs Building due to multiple circuit breaker failures noted during previous testing.

Period of Performance
The project is expected to be completed within the fiscal year 2023-2024.

The services will be performed at various locations within the Downtown Government Complex in Raleigh, NC.
