Downtown Government Complex Elevator and Escalator Upgrades Raleigh Crime Lab

Background
The North Carolina Department of Administration is issuing a solicitation for the modernization of elevators and escalators at the Downtown Government Complex, specifically at the Raleigh Crime Lab.

The goal of this contract is to enhance the functionality and safety of the elevators serving this critical facility, which plays a vital role in law enforcement and public safety.

Work Details
The work includes the modernization of three elevators located at 121 East Tryon Road, Raleigh, NC 27603.

This encompasses all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the construction as indicated in the contract documents. Bids will be received for a single prime contract with all proposals submitted as lump sum. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held to address project-specific questions and include a site visit.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence after the bid opening on September 25, 2025, with specific timelines to be detailed in the contract documents.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a proper license as required under North Carolina state laws governing their respective trades.

Additionally, bidders are required to submit forms identifying minority business participation and must include either Affidavit A or Affidavit B with their proposals. A cash deposit or certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the proposal amount is required with each bid. A performance bond and payment bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will also be necessary.
