Design-Build Services for Kitchen Annex Renovation at High Point Detention Center

Background
Guilford County is seeking proposals for qualified design-build teams to provide renovations to the existing facility located at 507 E. Green Drive, High Point, NC.
The goal of this contract is to select a design-build team through qualifications-based selection to deliver design, estimating, construction, and construction management services for the renovation of the Kitchen Annex at the High Point Detention Center.
The project aims to minimize cost escalation risks, reduce change orders from existing conditions, and decrease the overall project schedule while allowing operations to continue in the affected spaces.

Work Details
The scope of work includes various building system renovations, space renovations, and upgrades necessary for the Design-Build Construction of the Kitchen Annex at the High Point Detention Center.
The selected design-build team will be responsible for providing comprehensive services including design, estimating, construction, and construction management to meet the renovation goals set by Guilford County.

Period of Performance
The expected schedule for completing the project is approximately 18 months.

The contract will be performed at 507 E. Green Drive, High Point, NC.

Bidder Requirements
The selected Design-Builder will be required to provide a performance and payment bond in accordance with provisions of Article 3 of Chapter 44A of the NC General Statutes.
