Deep Energy Retrofit Construction for County Courts Office Building in Charlotte, NC

Background
The project is initiated by Mecklenburg County for the purpose of conducting a Deep Energy Retrofit Construction at the County Courts Office Building (CCOB) located at 720 E. 4th St., Charlotte, NC 28202. The goal of this contract is to enhance the energy efficiency of the building, aligning with the county's mission to improve public facilities and reduce energy consumption.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for executing a comprehensive deep energy retrofit of the County Courts Office Building. This includes but is not limited to: assessing current energy usage, implementing energy-efficient systems and technologies, and ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations.

Specific tasks may involve upgrading HVAC systems, improving insulation, installing energy-efficient lighting, and other related construction activities as outlined in the bidding documents.

Bidder Requirements
Prime General Contractors must submit a mandatory written Letter-of-Interest to the County’s authorized Design Consultant at least 48 hours prior to bid opening to be included on the official Bidders List. Additionally, bidders are required to provide bid, performance, and payment & material bonds. Compliance with North Carolina law and applicable licensing board regulations is mandatory.
