Description

Jennette's Pier. Decking Repair/Replacement. The project scope includes but not limited to the replacement of the existing wood deck with new FRP planks. The area to be replaced is a partial replacement of approximately 8,526 square feet with remaining decking to be replaced as add alternates.
Background
The North Carolina Aquariums is issuing a solicitation for the Decking Repair and Replacement project at Jennette’s Pier. The goal of this contract is to replace the existing wood deck to enhance safety and usability for visitors.

This project is part of the agency's mission to maintain and improve its facilities for public engagement and education.

Work Details
The project scope includes the replacement of approximately 8,526 square feet of existing wood decking with new Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) planks. This is a partial replacement, with additional decking to be replaced as add alternates.

The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the completion of the decking repair and replacement.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence after the bid opening on November 12, 2024, with specific timelines to be determined upon contract award.
