Custodial Services Contract for Smithfield Recreation & Aquatic Center

Background
Johnston County Public Schools (JCPS) is seeking a 3-year contract to provide custodial services and supplies for the Smithfield Recreation & Aquatic Center (SRAC) building.
The goal of this contract is to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the SRAC building, which serves the community's recreational needs.

Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for providing custodial services and supplies, including cleaning products, machinery, and daily maintenance of the SRAC building.
Specific tasks include:
- Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and locker rooms 7 times a week.
- Emptying trash and replacing liners in all areas 7 times a week.
- Dusting and cleaning lobby furniture 7 times a week.
- Vacuuming carpeted areas and mats 7 times a week.
- Sweeping and mopping floors in various areas including kitchens, breakrooms, banquet rooms, gym, track, racquetball court, and weight rooms 7 times a week.
- Detailed cleaning of entry glass doors 7 times a week.
- Floor maintenance tasks such as scrubbing, buffing, waxing VCT floors once a year.
- Ensuring that at least one custodian is on duty during operational hours from Monday to Saturday and at least one custodian on duty on Sundays.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2025, and continue through June 30, 2028, with two additional one-year renewal options available upon mutual consent.

Place of Performance
The custodial services will be performed at the Smithfield Recreation & Aquatic Center located in Johnston County.
