Core Data Center Server Refresh Services

Background
Union County Public Schools (UCPS) is seeking proposals for the Core Data Center Server Refresh project. The goal of this contract is to enhance the data center's capabilities through the acquisition of new server infrastructure, which aligns with UCPS's mission to provide quality education and support services.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the purchase and delivery of data center servers with two options for SAN storage: 512 TB and 1 PB. The servers must meet specific requirements including licensing for hypervisor clusters, separate hardware for storage and compute, Out of Band Management capabilities, iSCSI setup on SFP28 network ports, support for delta snapshots, and compatibility with VMware replication.

Hardware specifications include a total CPU capacity of 432 GHz, memory of 5120 GB, and a minimum of 1 Petabyte storage. A minimum purchase of five servers is expected. Delivery is scheduled for June 26, 2026. Warranty requirements include a minimum five-year manufacturer’s warranty with onsite repair within 72 hours and replacement of defective products at no cost to UCPS.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period will extend until June 26, 2026, when the equipment is scheduled for delivery.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Union County Public Schools located at 721 Brewer Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with specific insurance requirements including general liability insurance with a minimum limit of $1 million per occurrence and workers' compensation coverage as per North Carolina law. Bidders must not be listed on the Final Divestment List as per the Iran Divestment Act. Additionally, bidders must submit an executed cost proposal form along with supporting documentation including an E-Verify affidavit and Iran Divestment Act certification.
