Construction of 50, 000 sq ft GoCary Bus Operations and Maintenance Facility

Background
The Town of Cary is seeking qualified vendors to provide materials, labor, and equipment for the construction of a new 50,000 square foot GoCary Bus Operations and Maintenance Facility. This facility aims to support GoCary's current fixed route and Door to Door service while allowing for future expansion. The project is identified as Town of Cary Project No: ST1267.

Work Details
The contract involves the construction of a new 50,000 square feet administration, operations, and maintenance facility. This facility will accommodate GoCary’s current services and provide room for future expansion. Contractors must be licensed to perform the specified type of contracting in North Carolina. Each proposal must include a non-collusive affidavit and comply with Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes regarding work authorization verification.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference on April 7, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Herbert C. Young Community Center in Cary. Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes marked with the project title and bidder's details. A bid deposit of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid amount is required, either as a Bid Bond or cashier's check. Performance and Payment Bonds are required for 100% of the contract price with sureties approved by the Town of Cary.
