Commercial and Education Buildings Roof Replacement (Re-Advertisement)

Background
The NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is issuing a re-advertisement for the Commercial and Education Buildings Roof Replacement project located at the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The goal of the contract is to replace existing roofing systems to ensure structural integrity and maintain historical aesthetics.

Work Details
The project involves the following tasks:
1. Removal of the existing metal roof system.
2. Installation of a new roof deck and low-slope single-ply roof system.
3. Structural modifications as needed.
4. Replacement of the historic clay tile roof system.

Bid Alternates include:
- Alternate 01: Utilizing Ludowici clay roof tile
- Alternate 02: Façade repairs and coating
- Alternate 03: Underground stormwater drainage at the Education Building
- Alternate 04: Window glazing repairs.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from August 14, 2025, with specific timelines for each phase to be determined upon award.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the NC State Fairgrounds located at 4285 Trinity Road, Raleigh, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a proper license as required under state laws governing their respective trades, specifically an Unlimited Building license for general contractors.

Bidders are required to submit a cash deposit or certified check equal to at least five percent (5%) of their proposal or a bid bond of the same amount. Additionally, bidders must include forms identifying minority business participation (Affidavit A or B) with their proposals.
