CM@Risk Services for Berth 6 & 7 Improvements at Port of Morehead City

Background
The North Carolina State Port Authority is issuing a solicitation for a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the Berth 6&7 Improvements project at the Port of Morehead City. This project aims to enhance the port's infrastructure, which is crucial for supporting maritime operations and ensuring efficient cargo handling.

Work Details
The project involves the reinforcement of the existing steel sheet pile bulkhead and rehabilitation of the apron along approximately 1,000 feet of Berth 6 and 7. Specific tasks include:

- Installing a new bulkhead waterward of the existing bulkhead with a future average mudline of -47.0 feet;
- Adding new soil anchors;
- Extending existing stormwater outfalls through the new bulkhead;
- Providing corrosion protection;
- Demolishing and replacing existing fenders at the west end of Berth 7 to align with the new berthing line;
- Repairing the Berth 7 return wall; and
- Repairing the apron on Berths 6 and 7, which includes replacing freight rail, concrete deck, and stormwater drainage systems.

Period of Performance
The expected date of completion for this project is March 1st, 2026. The proposals for CMAR services are due on January 14th, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Port of Morehead City, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate their capability to provide adequate performance and payment bonds for this project. Additionally, they are required to submit a qualifications questionnaire detailing corporate history, financials, project experience, key personnel assignments, and HUB participation plans.
