Background
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Division of Enrollment is seeking proposals for a cloud-based software solution aimed at automating the extraction and integration of transcript data into Technolutions Slate and Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.

This initiative is driven by the need to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy in processing approximately 250,000 transcripts annually. Currently, this process involves significant manual effort and is prone to errors. The goal is to implement a solution that leverages machine learning and natural language processing technologies to streamline this process.

Work Details
The selected vendor will provide a cloud-based automated transcript processing solution that includes:
- Configuration, integration, testing, implementation, training, support, and performance monitoring of the automated tool.
- Capability to import transcript documents from various sources (e.g., Slate, CFNC, National Student Clearinghouse) for automated data processing.
- Use of modern techniques such as OCR, AI, machine learning, and natural language processing to accurately read and extract data from transcripts.
- Automation of custom calculations based on standard transcript information.
- Seamless import of extracted data into Slate and PeopleSoft with error-handling mechanisms in place.
- An intuitive interface for users to review and correct extracted data with machine learning capabilities for continuous improvement.
- Reporting tools for tracking metrics related to transcript processing.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of three years from the effective date, with options for up to seven additional one-year renewals at the University's discretion.
