The City is seeking qualified companies to provide Janitorial Services at various City facilities. The Scope of Services includes, but is not limited to, the provision of supervision, tools, materials, equipment, cleaning supplies, and expertise necessary for cleaning offices, classrooms, lobbies, corridors, passageways, restrooms, exercise facilities, locker rooms, and industrial or specialized areas, such as warehouses and trailers. Citywide Janitorial Services will encompass multiple departments and facilities across the city, excluding the Airport and Aviation facilities. The City plans to award contracts to multiple vendors, with no single vendor expected to serve the entire portfolio. If your company has a specific capacity limitation, please feel free to note that in your proposal. Service requirements are divided into two main categories: basic Janitorial Services (which follow a set checklist approach) and Porter Services (which involve designated staff on-site for a specified number of hours to both complete assigned tasks and to provide as-needed support). In addition, some locations will require specialized ancillary services, such as carpet deep cleaning, low-level lead removal, biohazard removal and decontamination, or parking deck maintenance. Companies may submit proposals for all services, individual ancillary services, or any combination thereof. Proposals should only cover the services the company intends to perform. Awards will not be based solely on lowest price; rather, vendors will be evaluated on all listed criteria, with the City making awards according to the best value for the City. For a Company to be considered responsive, all required documents must be submitted. Please note: Awards will be based on the information provided in each proposal, regardless of the company's experience or history with the city. Companies are strongly encouraged to provide detailed responses to all questions, and to include any additional relevant information about their company that may provide the City with a more comprehensive understanding of the Vendor's capabilities. Be aware that a Short List process will be used for this RFP. After reviewing all proposals, the City will select a Short List of companies based on the established criteria. Only these companies will then receive documents containing facility-specific information. Short-listed vendors will be asked to submit detailed pricing based on the additional specifications and will then engage in negotiations for other aspects of the services.
