Background
The City of Salisbury, Maryland, is seeking a contractor to provide citywide HVAC services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper maintenance and repair of various HVAC systems across multiple city-owned facilities. This initiative aims to enhance operational efficiency and ensure the comfort and safety of city employees and the public.
Work Details
The contractor will provide technical services for emergency repairs, routine maintenance, and minor upgrades to the City’s HVAC systems at various facilities. Services will be issued through a work order system, where descriptions of required services will be sent by city representatives. The contractor must submit work estimates for approval before proceeding.
The following facilities are included: Headquarters (Station 16), Station 1, Station 2, Salisbury Police Department, Information Services, Field Operations, Parking Garage, Paleo Water Plant, Park Water Plant, Utilities, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Marina Building, Zoo, Range Building, and Tower Controls Building.
The contractor must have competency in various HVAC systems including packaged air chillers, gas or oil-fired boilers, pneumatic controls, rooftop air conditioning units, air handling units, water source heat pumps, cooling towers with glycol systems, pumps, fan coil units, split systems, ductless units, geothermal systems and loops.
Period of Performance
The contract will be ongoing as needed based on the issuance of work orders for services.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various city-owned facilities located within Salisbury, Maryland.
Bidder Requirements
The successful vendor must comply with all local, state, and federal regulations when performing site work. They are responsible for providing all necessary permits (with city permit fees waived) and ensuring that all excess materials are disposed of daily. Additionally, the vendor must maintain adequate insurance coverage including Commercial General Liability and Workers' Compensation insurance.
