Background
Charlotte Water, a Department of the City of Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking proposals for Security Monitoring and Patrol Services. Work Details
The selected company will provide 24/7 security camera monitoring and strategically targeted patrol services at various water and wastewater service facilities operated by Charlotte Water. Key responsibilities include:
1) Monitoring existing security camera and access control systems;
2) Acting as an after-hours representative for alarm monitoring;
3) Collaborating with Charlotte Water staff to prevent and report criminal activity;
4) Conducting vehicle and foot patrols, especially during off-hours;
5) Performing checks on physical security measures;
6) Providing written activity reports after each shift.
The company must maintain a North Carolina license as a professional security company, have at least three years of experience in security services, employ a minimum of twenty-two staff members, and have at least four marked vehicles. All employees must wear uniforms during service.
Period of Performance
The contract will be for three years with an option to renew for two additional one-year terms. Services are expected to commence on June 1, 2026.

Services will be performed at various water and wastewater service facilities operated by Charlotte Water in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Companies must be certified as Small Business Enterprises (SBE) by the City of Charlotte by the proposal due date.
